Aleksandra Pavlović graduated (2019) and completed her master’s degree (2020) at the Department of Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Environmental Protection at the Faculty of Sciences, University of Novi Sad. She is a recipient of the Dositej scholarship from the Fund for Young Talents of the Republic of Serbia, as well as a Special Recognition for outstanding achievement during her studies awarded by the Serbian Chemical Society. Aleksandra continued her doctoral studies at the same faculty, at the Chair of Physical Chemistry, and is employed as a Research Assistant at the Center for Sensing Technologies, BioSens Institute. Her scientific research aims at synthesizing and applying periodically mesoporous organosilicate nanomaterials for skin protection and treatment, with a particular focus on characterization techniques for these and various other materials. She was a participant in the European Horizon 2020 project (No. 952259) as a dissemination manager, and in two national projects (GA 6060755, TT1135). In addition to her scientific work, as an active member of Lions International humanitarian-volunteer organization, she has led national and international youth camps, presented projects, and participated in various communication skills development workshops.
