Project Associate at the Center for Business Innovation and Development at the BioSense Institute
Isidora Čolić works as a project associate at the Center for Business Innovation and Development and is currently pursuing an LLM in Human Rights at the University of Vienna. Isidora’s passion for sustainability and human rights developed during her time in the nonprofit sector as a project manager. She has gained significant experience in implementing global social development projects that include cultural heritage, diversity, human rights, sustainable development, and indigenous issues in Mexico and Colombia. In addition to projects, Isidora has enhanced her expertise in the field of communications and has participated in the creation and implementation of several crowdfunding campaigns, as well as social media campaigns. Isidora has been a part of the BIOSENSE Institute since August 2023 and is involved in activities within the Know4Nano, Climate Farm Demo, ClimateSmartAdvisors, and Mobifree projects. Her main responsibilities include supporting the team at the Center for Innovation and Development on various Horizon Europe projects, participating in the preparation, development, and implementation of domestic and international scientific research projects and other institutional projects, as well as organizing and/or providing technical support to events.
Talk Title: Communicating Research to non-researchers
In today’s fast-paced information age, the ability to effectively communicate scientific findings is critical for fostering understanding, driving innovation, and influencing policy. This workshop is tailored for scientists/academia, offering practical insights into the art and science of scientific communication. Participants will explore strategies to make complex research accessible to diverse audiences, including policymakers, educators, and the general public. The session will also highlight techniques to enhance visibility and impact through media engagement and social media platforms. Attendees will gain actionable tools to amplify their voice, broaden their reach, and contribute meaningfully to public discourse on science.
