Jelena Đerić is a junior researcher at the BioSense Institute, University of Novi Sad, Serbia, specializing in gas sensor development for electronic nose (e-nose) systems utilizing 2D nanomaterials. She holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Biomedical Engineering from the Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Novi Sad. Her Master’s thesis on MXene-Chitosan nanomembranes marked the beginning of her work in advanced materials. Currently pursuing her PhD, Jelena works on the formulation of functional inks based on MXene, MoS₂, and graphene derivatives for inkjet printing technologies for gas sensing applications. Her research aims to bridge material innovation with real-world sensing technologies, contributing to the development of next-generation e-nose systems.
