Know4Nano Exploitation Meeting at BioSense Institute

On October 22, 2025, a representative from UNICO Experts – Business Consultants for Science-Based Innovations, engaged through The WiderAdvance Facility, an initiative under Horizon Europe, visited the BioSense Institute to discuss the Key Exploitable Result (KER) entitled “Biosensors Based on 2D Nanomaterials” developed within the Know4Nano twinning project, funded by the European Commission.

During the meeting, Dr. Branimir Bajac presented the BioSense Institute’s research infrastructure and operational framework, while Dr. Slavica Savić Ružić introduced the Know4Nano project and provided an overview of the progress achieved during its first year of implementation. The discussion focused on the identified KER, with particular attention given to the associated Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs) and exploitation potential.

The UNICO expert expressed strong interest in the presented results and identified several promising avenues for further exploitation. Future collaboration will concentrate on intellectual property (IP) management and the development of a commercialization strategy, with the aim of maximizing the impact and market readiness of the biosensing technologies based on 2D nanomaterials.
