Research Highlight: Electrospun SnO₂ Nanofibers for Advanced Gas Sensing
At the CSCS-8 Conference (Belgrade, June 18–20, 2025), Dr. Slavica Savić Ružić presented collaborative work on electrospun SnO₂ nanofibers for gas sensing applications.
The research demonstrates how nanostructured material design can be leveraged to improve sensitivity, selectivity, and stability of gas sensors. Electrospinning provides a controlled approach to tailor fiber morphology and porosity, directly influencing sensor response and reliability.
This work underscores the importance of rational nanomaterial design for next-generation sensing technologies, with potential applications in environmental monitoring, safety, and healthcare.
