Jan Luxa earned his MSc. as well as his Ph.D. at the University of Chemistry and Technology. His doctoral thesis dealt with study of electrocatalytical properties of transition metal dichalcogenides. As of now, he focuses on the study of electrochemical properties of 2D layered materials including black phosphorus, arsenic and group fourteen elements. Another field of his studies involves 2D layered dielectric materials for use in field-effect transistors. He currently has an H-index of 40, over 100 publications and nearly 6000 citations.
