Dr. V. Divakar Botcha is a Senior Researcher at the BioSense Institute, University of Novi Sad. He earned his PhD from IIT Bombay in 2016, specializing in 2D materials and semiconductor nanocomposites for optoelectronic applications, where he developed a scalable, low-cost technique for transferring GO/RGO monolayers. He completed his postdoctoral research at Shenzhen University, China, focusing on advanced TMD materials and photodetector device fabrication. He also served as a Senior Scientist and cleanroom facility in charge at the Photonics Center, overseeing high-resolution EBL systems and training students and researchers. At PROGNOMICS Ltd., UK, he worked as a Senior R&D Engineer, leading the Innovate UK project (No. 132261) on multiplex graphene-based FET sensors for food allergen detection. He has also contributed to several international research projects, including the EU Horizon 2020 ANTARES project (Grant No. 739570) and a major grant from the Science and Technology Foundation of Shenzhen, China (JCYJ20160226192033020). With more than 10 years of cleanroom experience, Dr. Botcha has authored over 30 scientific publications, holds one patent, and continues to drive innovation in 2D nanodevice fabrication and sensor technologies. In recognition of his research excellence, he was elected to the title of Research Associate in 2024 at the BioSense Institute in the field of materials science.
