Know4Nano

Nejra Omerović is a Research Assistant at the BioSense Institute. She received her BSc and MSc degrees in 2015 and 2017, respectively, from the Faculty of Technology, University of Novi Sad, Serbia, where she is currently a PhD student at the Department of Materials Engineering. Her PhD thesis focuses on functional biopolymer films with potential applications in active and/or smart food packaging. During her career, she has participated in several international and national projects under programs such as Horizon 2020 (IPANEMA – GA 872662, NANOFACTS – GA 952259), Prisma – The Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia (MOVE – GA 7498) and the bilateral cooperation program between Serbia and Germany for the years 2021-2022. Through these projects, she worked as a visiting researcher at the Technical University of Vienna (Austria), Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (Israel) and Fraunhofer Institute for Process Engineering and Packaging IVV (Germany). Nejra has co-authored eight journal articles and has an h-index of 4 (Scopus).
