Research Associate & Assistant Director for Innovation and Collaboration with Industry BioSense Institute, Serbia
Dr. Oskar Marko is the Head of the Center for Information Technologies and Assistant Director for Innovation and Industry Collaboration. His research focuses on the application of advanced machine learning techniques and evolutionary algorithms in agriculture. Dr. Marko completed his third year of undergraduate studies at City University London, where he earned his degree with a thesis in signal processing. He led the BioSens team, which developed novel algorithms in big data analytics to predict crop yields, optimize seed distribution, and refine sowing strategies. These innovations earned the Institute first place in Syngenta’s “Crop Challenge” and CGIAR’s “Inspiring Challenge.” Dr. Marko is also actively involved in several Horizon 2020 projects, including Antares, Cybele, Dragon, and Flexirobots, as well as collaborations with agricultural companies like Krivaja, MK Agri, Delta, and various insurance firms.
