Slađana Blažević works as a Project Manager at the Business Development Department at BioSense Institute. She obtained her bachelor’s degree at the University of Novi Sad, Faculty of Philosophy. She worked for international companies in the agriculture industry. Throughout her career path, she was successful at creating the link between sales, marketing, business development, supply chain, shopper marketing, business analytics, and market research. Since joining the Business Development Department of the BioSense Institute in July 2022, she has been working on the implementation of large-scale Horizon Europe projects.

Talk Title: European Green Deal

The European Green Deal is the European Union’s ambitious roadmap to transform its economy and society for a sustainable future. It aims to make Europe the first climate-neutral continent by 2050 through policies that cut greenhouse gas emissions, promote renewable energy, protect biodiversity, and foster a circular economy. This transformative plan emphasizes the balance between environmental sustainability and economic growth, ensuring that no region or community is left behind. By integrating climate action into all sectors, the Green Deal seeks to drive innovation, create green jobs, and secure a healthier environment for current and future generations. It also reinforces the EU’s leadership in global climate action, setting an example for other nations to adopt sustainable practices.
