Uroš Ćemalović is a Senior Research Fellow and an expert in European Union law, intellectual property law, environmental law, and public administration, with two decades of experience in the private and public sectors. He earned his PhD in Law in 2010 from the University of Strasbourg and holds master’s degrees in Public Administration (Paris Dauphine) and EU Law (Nancy 2). Dr. Ćemalović has worked as a legal expert and consultant for numerous international organizations, including the EU, UNDP, OSCE, and the World Bank, and has advised prominent domestic and international companies such as Sanofi, Microsoft, and SPI Pharmaceuticals. From 2007 to 2013, he was involved in aligning Serbia’s national legislation with EU law in the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia. He has served as a visiting professor at several European universities, including LUISS in Rome, the Catholic University of Lille, and the New Bulgarian University. In 2018, he led a research project at the University of Zagreb’s Faculty of Law on transforming intellectual property law frameworks during EU accession. Since January 2022, Dr. Ćemalović has been leading the international project “Environmental Legislation and Sustainable Economic Development – the State of Play in Serbia and Experiences of the Croatian EU Membership.” He is the author of four books and over 40 academic papers in English, French, and Serbian, published in the USA, France, Poland, Croatia, and Serbia.
